Wow, not only is the globe and mail site the only functioning site I've found (this is after looking at cbc.ca, canoe.ca, ctv.ca, nationalpostl.com), it's actually very impressive and usable, complete with drill down maps to find the results you want. Slick. ©

Geez, the only Canadian election website that I can find that hasn't melted is the Globe and Mail's. I'm sorry, but there is no excuse for Server Too Busy errors - did they not have enough warning? ©

Very cool article about John Mighton, poet, playwright, mathematician. At the core of what I find compelling about people like Mighton is the idea of taking your life and what you do with it seriously; it's something I'm still learning how to do. To be clear, by serious I don't mean self-important; I mean finding a way to do what you want to do because you think it's important, even if other's don't see what's important or special about it (or you). ©

Where does Toronto native Morley Safer get off beating up the Republican and Democratic party chairmen for their cravenly deceptive fundraising tactics? On this Sunday's "60 Minutes," the Canadian citizen grills Republican Jim Nicholson and Democrat Joe Andrew on their tacky direct-mail pieces that frighten folks out of their money. If Safer doesn't like our political sleaze, let him go back where he came from.
