Russian Poachers

Research project comes to brutal end:

[D]ozens of massive Siberian grizzly bears whose lives were catalogued for the groundbreaking eight-year study have been slaughtered in their nature sanctuary as a message to the Canadian researchers, Charlie Russell and Maureen Enns, to abandon the project.

that is perhaps one of the most awful things i've read this year, perhaps ever.

i couldn't finish reading it.

to quote a certain friend of ours, "sometimes my own race does not inspire me."

gods damn those poachers.

I was surfing, too sleepy to realize how I got here but oh my god ... this is so sad. People actually just killed these bears for this stupid reason.
I wonder how these terrible people would feel is someone slaughtered their family to make a point ?
