Status Report

A transit day today - we're flying out of Incheon airport to Okinawa in 90 minutes. I think I need a little while to unpack all that I've seen over the past week; I don't think I'll have a Grand Unified Theory of South Korea as a result, but hopefully it'll be more coherent than my current 'that was neat'.

One thing that I know will stick with me is the Korean penchant for heavily managing their nature experiences - we visited two very neat natural wonders on Jeju island, a cave complex and a volcanic crater. Both had loudspeakers playing twinkling music and/or voiceovers explaining just what it was we were seeing.

I still haven't found a computer that will let me upload pictures, but rest assured the photographs are numerous. Stay tuned!

HI BILL and DESIREA!!!
I got up really early this morning and I have now eaten two of those cream-filled easter eggs (you know: How do YOU get the inside out?)and I now don't feel so good
...but enough about me...
Hope your enjoying your vacation and don't skimp on the pictures (that's an order)
(Boy, I'll be glad when I'm retired and can break the wad and travel)
Love you both lots! :) :D :)
XOXOXO

Greetings from chaos international - the Mahoneys and Campbells have just departed from a wonderful Easter Egg hunt. Calvin has a new remote controlled car (red volkswagon), Emma, Eva and Eilidh were all sporting pink tulle - quite the scene. If we scan photos are we able to send them to you? Katie came with us to the Easter Vigil - Father Tritschler believes in giving the 'full meal deal' - 2 1/2 hours! Hopefully the kids will have naps to wear off the sugar. We're all missing you two, but feeling very happy that you're enjoying yourselves.

Love and hugs
Mom and Dad

I just discovered that the sauce I love so much with my fave happy Korean food is called Kochu J/CHang. Pick up a jar of the BEST and then detour through VT on your way home, 'kay?

Sounds 'neat' so far. Hope to hear the whole story when you get home. Have some sushi in Okinawa!
