Just why people pay up to $100 or more per seat to attend a concert, only to talk throughout it, is a mystery. Indeed it is. (via)

I cannot afford regular or even semi-regular live concerts but when I do save and fork out the dough it is because I honestly want to *hear* the music, live.
Last year I took my wife to a symphony concert. It was a big event for us. When, for the third time I spoke to someone nearby asking them to please, be quite, it was clearly I who was perceived as being rude. And not only by the offender I spoke to but by another patron who addressed me saying, "If you don't want to be here, leave."
